We sold IPL tickets at a price which was double as compared to the counter's original price.
We purchased it about few weeks ago and sold it through an internet advertisement.We gained a huge profit.So was the profit halal or haram.

The answer to your question is as follows:

Since re-selling tickets in this way (black) is against the law of the country too, it is not allowed to do so. Involving greatly in games and other useless things is avoidable.
