The answer to your question is as follows:

If the cat is suffering too much, it should be treated, but in any case it is not permissible to kill it.

عن جندب بن عبد اللہ قال: قال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم: کان فیمن کان قبلکم رجل بہ جرح، فجزع، فأخذ سکینا فحز بہا یدہ، فما رقأ الدم حتی مات، قال اللہ تعالی: بادرَنی عبدی بنفسہ، حرمت علیہ الجنة․ رواہ البخاری (3463)
