Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu Hazrat Mufti Sahab, I am a girl and I know that it is haram for girls to wear perfume and it is also haram to go out wearing fragrance, but I want to ask that I can apply fragrance in my prayer mat while offering namaz and in my namaz clothes. I can offer Namaz by wearing perfume, is it permissible.

The answer to your question is as follows:

It is permissible for a woman to apply fragrance on prayer mat. This may create modesty in the prayer. Similarly there is no harm in applying fragrance on the special prayer clothes for a woman while praying inside the house. Light fragrance should be used so that its fragrance does not reach a non-mahram and does not cause temptation. However, if there are some non-mahrams in the same house, then she should absolutely avoid using perfume.
