Question

A muktadi who was a musafir offered Isha prayer with jamat after an immam who was makeen. The musafir followed immam in two rakats and did not get up with the to complete four rakats. He say down and turn salam. When asked as to why he did not follow immam, he said that was was musafir and had to offer only two rakats. Jenab what is the right way for a musafir when he participate a jammat after mukeem immam.

The answer to your question is as follows:

A Musafir Muqtadi will pray full namaz behind a Muqeem imam and it is not permissible for him to do Qasr. The said person does not know the proper ruling of namaz . The one, who has shortened the prayer behind the muqeem imam, is obliged to repeat the prayer, and in such a case he will do Qasr while repeating the prayer.
