As-salamu alaykum,
Zaid recently booked a hotel from a renowned online website. Zaid had taken a lot of care before booking. It was booked through a very reputed website. He made the payment and received the confirmation about the booking. Now suddenly after few days that reputed website canceled the booking saying that they have canceled the booking because the bank has disputed that booking transaction. But the bank says that they have not disputed that transaction. It's either the bank or the website that is lying. Due to this cheating  Zaid lost  money & hotel booking. The question is,  can Zaid use the interest money to compensate for this loss from cheating or can Zaid recover his loss from this cheating with the interest money?

The answer to your question is as follows:

If the interest amount is received from the same bank from which you paid the rent amount, then it is allowable to give it to the bank, but it is not permissible to receive the interest amount from the bank and give it to a company. You are not allowed to use interest money for your cause, but you have to bear the loss expenses from your own pocket. The interest amount must be given freely to the poor without intention of getting reward.

عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ : لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، وَمُؤْكِلَهُ، وَكَاتِبَهُ، وَشَاهِدَيْهِ. وَقَالَ : هُمْ سَوَاءٌ۔ (صحیح المسلم، رقم : ١٥٩٨)

وَيَرُدُّونَهَا عَلَى أَرْبَابِهَا إنْ عَرَفُوهُمْ، وَإِلَّا تَصَدَّقُوا بِهَا لِأَنَّ سَبِيلَ الْكَسْبِ الْخَبِيثِ التَّصَدُّقُ إذَا تَعَذَّرَ الرَّدُّ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ۔ (شامی : ٩/٣٨٥)فقط
