what is different between masalah and fatwa?
asked Feb 9, 2020 in Islamic Creed (Aqaaid) by Tofail Ahamed

Ref. No. 41/1004

In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful

The answer to your question is as follows:

An Islamic religious law is called ‘Mas’ala’. Sometimes, the Islamic law is given in answer to a question so the same is called fatwa. So the fatwa is always given to answer to a particular query. Mas’alah includes all types of Islamic laws.

And Allah knows best
