I want to make sure whether the following hadeeth is sound: It was narrated from Ma’qil ibn Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever says three times each morning, ‘A’oothu Billah il-samee’ il-‘aleem min al-shaytan il-rajeem (I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, from the accursed Shaytan), and recites the last three verses of Surah al-Hashr, Allah will send seventy thousand angels to send blessings upon him until evening comes, and if he dies on that day he will die a martyr. And whoever says that in the evening, will be given a similar status.”

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful

The answer to your question is as follows:

The hadith is recorded in many books of hadith. Imam Tirmizi classified this narration as Ghareeb (strange). In some versions of Tirmizi this hadith is labeled with Hasan Ghareeb. The Muhaqqiq of Sunan Darimi says it is Hasan hadith. Some Muhadithin remarked it as dhaif (weak) due to a narrator namely Khalid bin Tahman. Nevertheless, this hadith is reliable in the chapter of fazail (virtues).

And Allah knows best
