Ref. No. 1364/42-447
In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful
The answer to your question is as follows:
The word ‘Marhoom’ means a person on whom Allah has mercy. It is permissible to say the word ‘Marhoom’ before the name of the deceased. When we say the word ‘Marhoom’, we pray for Allah's mercy on the deceased so that Allah Almighty may have mercy on him and forgive him.
