Question

Assalam u alaikum we got istikhara done for the proposal and it was a ‘yes’. I did istikhara myself also but I’m not satisfied. My elders did some investigation and we did not get to listen some good about their family for e.g about the akhlaq of mother in law. We refused but they insisted and somehow i got engaged now I’m confused what to do because I’m not satisfied with this proposal. Should i call it off?

The answer to your question is as follows:

Your Istikhara was answered in the negative, so the proposal does not seem appropriate for you. Hence, you should act according to your Istikhara, and it would be better for you in-sha Allah.
