As salamo alaikum. We have a wuzu hauz in masjid. People perform wuzu and the waste water which falls down passes by a drain of the hauz to the big drain outside the masjid. If this waste water is collected and recycled again by cleaning it for wuzu or any other purpose, will it be valid or not.Please reply soon.

The answer to your question is as follows:

Filtration of impure water will not purify it, though the water is extra cleansed through this process. So it will not be allowable to perform ablution from this impure water.

والدلیل علی تحریم استعمال الماء الذی فیہ جزء من النجاسۃ وان لم یتغیر طعمہ اولونہ او رائحۃ، قول اللہ تعالیٰ ویحرم علیہم الخبث والنجاسات من الخبائث لانہا محرمۃ‘‘ (شرح مختصر الطحاوی: ج ١، ص: ١٧)

المستقطر من النجاسۃ نجس‘‘ (مراقی الفلاح: ص: ٨٩)
